About The Company

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis with a career progression plan that fosters growth, development and future success.
About The Role
You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, administering general ledger and reconciliations. You will also provide support to the Operations team, other departments and Finance team members as required. Duties will include, but not be limited to:-
- Month-end closing and reporting - review Profit and Loss Statements
- Cash flow reporting
- Preparation and reconciliation of accounting journals
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Support in processing payroll and ensuring payroll compliance
- Superannuation and payroll tax calculations and lodgement.
- BAS preparation and lodgement
- Respond to enquiries from both internal and external sources and ad-hoc duties as required
- Preparing analyses of general ledger accounts and producing monthly or ad hoc reports
- Provide support to Finance Officer around the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Interrelated Business Loan account management.
- Assist with forecasting and annual budget preparation
About You
Are you a fully qualified accountant who has embarked on a commercial route out of University? Do you have strong communication skills and a willingness to help your team? We want someone who is proactive, understands change, and is not afraid to put themselves forward to help drive change. If you are commercially experienced with a blend of financial, management accounting and hands on transactional accounting we encourage you to apply!
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related discipline
- Working towards completion of CA/CPA
- Strong Financial Accounting and Management Accounting background
- Current knowledge of accounting standards, principles and practice
- Ability to drive efficiency's, insights and informed decision making through extensive analysis
- Strong Systems and Excel skills - preferably Xero software
- Hands on propensity and a can-do attitude when it comes to detail-oriented work
