APS5/6 Compliance Officer - Multiple Positions

We are actively engaged with our Federal Government client in Canberra who are looking for APS5 level Compliance Officer and APS6 level Senior Compliance Officer.

Contract Duration: Till June 2023 with 12 months extension

What to expect:

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of policies, procedures and resources to support the client's compliance functions;
  • Implementing and coordinating nationally consistent compliance programs designed to monitor the compliance.
  • Undertake research and analysis to develop and support compliance responses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data analysis processes, designed to identify emerging compliance risks and trends.
  • Analyse agency data and develop reports and briefings;
  • Oversee and quality assure the work of junior team members; and
  • Contribute to planning and monitoring of work processes for a small team.


About you:

  • Experience in a regulatory role, in a compliance and/or investigative context, and have a working knowledge of contemporary compliance monitoring activities.
  • Well-developed skills and experience of conducting developing policy, compliance assessments, drafting briefs based on evidence, exercising statutory powers and interpreting and applying legislation.
  • Good time management skills, the ability to work in a high volume environment and ability to engage positively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to support and promote client's vision, mission and business objectives, and display a positive contemporary attitude.
  • A Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigation or equivalent, will be highly regarded.
