They are a medium sized organisation that provide services essential to the movement of Australia's trade where they have evolved today, into a sophisticated state-of-the-art operation, with safety, professionalism, innovation, and customer satisfaction as their highest priorities.


The Role


Our client is currently seeking a Finance Business Analyst who possesses strong Power BI skills, and is a highly analytical individual who is able to work across a range of initiatives and businesses. This person will join the Business Support team and will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of improved insights
  • Streamlining reporting
  • Working closely with all stakeholders to uncover key drivers of the business
  • Utilise BI and data technologies to enhance business insights
  • Apply strong technical knowledge on current ETL and BI processes and tools to create an efficient BI platform
  • Perform regular analytical investigations
  • Provide business cases to justify capital investments and identify business improvements

You will have Power BI experience and be achievement-focused and thrive in an environment where beating challenging goals and solving problems effectively is required. You will have a high energy and drive with a positive can-do attitude. You will build on the collaborative culture in the team and have an ability to create business intelligence solutions. You possess the ability to demonstrate assertiveness in your decision making and communicating with key stakeholders effectively.


Skills & Experience

  • University degree in relevant accounting, business or commerce discipline
  • Completed CA / CPA Program
  • Power BI experience is essential
  • Extensive experience as a Management Accountant or end to end Business Analyst within large enterprise environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to lead and facilitate virtual workshops
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, and a willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong Excel skills including building and manipulating spreadsheet models
