About the Role:

Federal Agency at the forefront of Digital Health. You will work closely with the Director and a small team to ensure changes are appropriately identified and reported for discussion and review with both technical and business delegates. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation and management of release processes for code through development, test and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team in the development of change and release management frameworks, providing strategic analysis and planning to ensure the successful implementation of changes across the Agency.

  • Inspire a sense of purpose and direction among a medium-sized section of subject matter experts, supporting the Director in influencing executive decision-making.

  • Maintain and improve change and release management operations by monitoring system performance; identifying and resolving problems; identifying and preparing enhancements; undertaking customer enquiry pattern and trend analyses; managing system and process improvement.

  • Build organisational capability and responsiveness through information systems and products.

  • Experience providing strategic consultation to and collaboration with senior executives and a demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrate public service professionalism and probity.

  • People Manager role, leading a team to deliver organisational outcomes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Understanding of ITIL change and release management processes.

  • Strong background and demonstrated ability to manage a team in a complex environment with significant strategy, integration and technology components.

  • Demonstrated innovation in the application of technology solutions to complex business problems.

  • High level organisational skills and data management skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, to achieve outcomes.

  • Demonstrated background in change and release management and the coordination of service providers to deliver changes and releases.

  • Experience leading teams and an understanding of the principles of project delivery across multiple stakeholders.
