The Company
This family-owned SME group has an annual turnover of $40 million and is proud to specialise in Land Development works and Civil Infrastructure to deliver projects to some of Australia's largest Construction companies. They are in a growth phase and looking for a mature, level-headed, practical and down to earth person to head up the finance department, reporting directly to the board.
Conveniently located in Loganholme with a casual office space and easy access to the motorway.
The Role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:-
- Overseeing the month end process including the completion of the General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P&L statements
- Payroll tax, Corporate Credit Card reconciliations, BAS, create recurring transactions
- Cash Flow management for both company and construction industry clients
- Full responsibility of the year end process including liaison with external tax agents and completion of the General Purpose and Special Purpose Financial Statements
- Review Cash Flow Statements, BAS and FBT lodgements
- Review and approve daily, weekly & monthly Vendor payments, Revenue Accruals, Depreciation calculations
- Provide leadership & technical support to support staff
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualified or extensive experience in similar role
- CPA/CA qualification (or close to completion) highly regarded
- Construction industry experience desirable
- Advanced level of Excel and comfortable with new systems
- Current knowledge of accounting standards and relevant tax and statutory requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication
