They proudly employ more than 800 staff and operates out of 29 locations in metro and regional Australia, providing parts and service support for the agricultural, roads, civil construction, landscaping, mining, and forestry sectors. They are currently seeing to hire a talented Financial Analyst to commence as soon as possible.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, The Financial Analyst will help establish a value-add FP&A function capable of providing valuable business insights contributing to project analysis, strategic analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements of the company. This role requires the individual to monitor, analyse and evaluate trends and financial implications of alternative business strategies, using internal and external data sources with other duties including but not being limited to:

  • Supporting the end-to-end financial budgeting, rolling forecast and strategic long-term planning
  • Develop and maintain financial models for commercial purposes
  • Supporting the FP&A team with developing a management reporting suite and updating them on a regular basis
  • Understanding financial trends and variances, providing succinct commentary regarding the financial performance and the associated business drivers
  • Support project teams with upfront analysis and ongoing evaluation of company projects
  • Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, including maintaining the budget system architecture, and identifying continual improvements for the process.
  • Contribute to the continual improvements of systems and procedures to maximise efficiency across the FP&A team.
  • Support the Financial Planning and Analysis manager with adhoc project, tasks and analysis as required.
  • Assist as required with other finance and strategic orientated tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including team meetings, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Participate in regular Performance Reviews and undertake all training/development as recommended.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

About you

As the successful Financial Analyst, you will work strategically and play a pivotal role in the business. You will have strong analytical, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and reporting skills. You will also demonstrate: -

  • Experience using technology to extract/manipulate data and develop financial/reporting solutions.
  • Work Independently, being self-motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude showing the ability to proactively work with minimal direction
  • Be a quick learner and innovative problem solver
  • Be an Excellent team player yet comfortable working independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight time frames
  • To demonstrate ambition and have the desire to succeed
  • To communicate comfortably and confidently


Skills & Experience

  • Masters/Bachelor's degree in finance
  • Pursuing membership to a professional accounting body or CFA, or the desire to pursue
  • Previous experience with TM1 and Power BI (desired but not required)
  • Relevant Finance experience including some experience in an analytical role
  • Advanced MS Office skills, with a high degree of capability in MS Excel.
