Forklift Operator / Food Production Worker | Ongoing Role | Heidelberg West

We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Production Worker to join a busy and well-established food manufacturing operation in Heidelberg West. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to go permanent after 6 months.

What's on offer:

• Monday to Friday, ongoing work
• Day shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm
• $35 per hour + super (weekly pay)
• Stable, long-term opportunity with career progression
• Casual employment but full-time hours

Key responsibilities:

• Operating electric counterbalance forklifts (Linde & Hyster)
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Picking and moving stock (manual lifting up to 20kg)
• General warehouse duties, maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Assisting on the production line when required (packing, assembling boxes, basic food prep)
• Following food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards
• Working collaboratively to meet daily targets

About you:

• Minimum 12 months recent counterbalance forklift experience
• Comfortable working across both warehouse and production environments
• Able to work in cold storage conditions (freezer, chiller, ambient)
• Physically fit with the ability to complete manual handling tasks
• Strong attention to detail, reliable, and a team player
• Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed
