HSEQ Advisor

Salary Attractive salary package

The opportunity:

Our client is a well-known company in the Services/Industrial sector with an excellent reputation and leadership team. Like many organisations, they have pivoted well during the last 6 to 9 months with the challenges that Covid-19 has brought. With key offices in Melbourne and Sydney CBD (and a footprint in most Australian capital cities) this role will partner with leaders across the country, and from several different Business units.

Being a service based organisation across white- and blue-collar work brings a nice array of challenge to a professional in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing space, with a broad risk profile and seasoned managers who have an appetite to continue their journey, including adding more elements to their Wellbeing program.

This role is well suited to a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality generalist who will have impact on most parts of the business. You will be advising daily to Leaders and frontline operations on risk profiles, hazard identification, risk assessments, there will be a proactive approach to reviewing how the business approaches Safety and reporting, accreditations, environmental impact and wellbeing. You will complement existing resources who have specialist responsibilities in Injury Management and Compliance/ISO certification, among others.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to continue supporting the HSEQ journey of an organisation that is performing well, has an interesting variety of risk, stable business and a great team environment (operations, P&C, legal etc).

Reporting into a senior leader who is very supportive and empowering, you will be given significant backing to develop options and the case for change.

Great role!

Your proven experience will ideally include:

  • Experience in a Safety/HSE Advisory role that could be within a corporate or blue collar environment, but with an appetite to learn more
  • It would be rare to build the level of expertise required without having 2 to 5 solid years experience in Health and Safety
  • Proven ability to engage with leaders and foster key relationships
  • Experience and maturity to work in an autonomous role
  • Working across a multi-site business
  • The confidence to deliver safety and wellbeing programs, support and advise leadership teams
  • Formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (Diploma minimum)

The Rewards:

This opportunity is suitable for someone who is looking to make an impact in a stable and successful business. You will have multiple opportunities to access a broad benefits package, including Wellbeing options. Competitive package is on offer for the right candidate.
