Role : Machine & Forklift Operator

Location : Central Coast (Onsite)

Our client is proudly Australia's leading steel manufacturing and distribution company, known for their commitment to safety, quality, and reliable service. They are currently seeking an experienced Machine & Forklift Operator to join their Central Coast operations.

This is a role involves the operation of mobile plant and forklifts, loading and unloading scrap metal, and supporting day‑to‑day yard and operational activities in a fast paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating excavators to load and unload scrap metal from trucks
• Operating forklifts to move materials, products, and packaging around the yard
• Working closely with the Operations team to manage scrap movements and yard flow
• Assisting with basic machine operation and packaging tasks as required
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised yard environment
• Following all safety procedures, quality standards, and site policies
• Supporting general yard and labouring tasks as required

Skills and Experience:

• Valid Forklift Licence (essential)
• Excavator Letter of competency (essential)
• Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transport (essential)
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Strong safety awareness and positive attitude towards safe work practices
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to good attendance
• Willingness to learn and support team operations
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
• Experience in the scrap metal or steel industry (highly regarded but not essential)
