Deliverables

  • Lead and coordinate a robust organisational change management approach to strategic change, including the development of organisational change management strategies and standards along with their implementation and ongoing refinement.
  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies to drive the strategic narrative across internal and external audiences, ensuring messaging is reflected across all aspects of written communications materials.
  • Undertake assessments on change impact, risks, and mitigation strategies, including the identification and management of anticipated resistance.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes and other written material as required.
  • Establish effective stakeholder management, using informal and formal channels of communication, including the preparation of complex business cases, reports, submissions, briefings, and presentations to influence senior and executive stakeholders to achieve project
  • Represent Data, Digital and Insights with internal and external stakeholders in support of organisational change management activities.
  • Develop communications plans and training needs analysis to support the successful delivery of change
  • Coordinate the measurement and monitoring of success metrics throughout the change implementation cycle.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues that may affect the successful delivery of the reform program.
  • Manage stakeholder consultation processes, balancing competing priorities and views and promoting a common mission and goals.
  • Be team orientated and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a 'can do' approach in the workplace.
  • Other duties as required to ensure the smooth and effective operation of DDI

This State Government Department is looking for a Organisational Change and Communications Specialist to aid in a significant change process in its operating model as it reforms into the Data Digital and Insights (DDI) group; whilst continuing to support platforming and business change projects. This role is expected to provide the skills and content to support the internal operating change and where appropriate assist in the external changes (based on priorities)

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced understanding of contemporary Human Resources and/or Organisational Change Management practice to develop an Organisation Change Management strategy and consulting model within a complex Information & Communication Technology
  • Experience in applying the principles and intervention strategies of Organisational Change Management resulting in improvement of the functioning of individuals, teams, and the total organisation.
  • Understanding continuous improvement methodologies and their implementation into organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing stakeholder communications plans and materials suited to specific business or technical audiences, including internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively use workplace tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams.

Qualifications

  • PROSCI qualification or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Experience in transformation would be advantageous
  • Degree qualification in communications, marketing, public relations or a related discipline
