As a Big Data Project Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to bring collateral and your experience together and enhance the value that we bring clients.

Responsibilties:

  • Leading a project team in delivering a solution according to project charter or contract for Big Data projects. You will have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables. Manage project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements, including Client employees and 3rd party vendors.
  • Champion the use of data, cognitive and analytics to realize strategic insights to help drive cross-business unit initiatives focused primarily on revenues generation, effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Provide overall leadership, direction, management, performance criteria and evaluations for big data team.
  • Responsible for the successful and timely implementation of big data solutions.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with key project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with architects and engineers cross multiple time zones to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
  • Work with clients to solve data integrity issues and ensure timely data availability
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for big data technologies.



Experience Required:

  • Requires experience with PM methodologies.
  • Skill include Big Data, Analytics, Business Analysis, Strategy, Project planning, Budgeting, Performance Management, Scheduling, Staffing, PM Methods, Performance Management, Scope Management, Contractual Deliverables, Change Control, Risk Management
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Ability to lead in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Proven track record in pre-sales, consulting, architecture, solutioning and implementation.
  • Familiar with big data technologies, i.e., HDFS, Hive, HBase, etc.
  • Familiar with popular big data platforms, i.e., Cloudera, Hortonworks, etc.
  • Knowledge of Agile framework using Scrum, Kanban, DevOps
  • Familiarity of public, hybrid, multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc)
  • At least a high-level understanding of data models and techniques for machine learning and statistical analysis.
  • At least a basic understanding of data ingestion programming languages such as Python, Java, SQL
