Project Officer - Events Coordination

The primary purpose of the role is to coordinate OTCD-related events for the Minister and the Minister's representatives. This includes high level of liaison with internal and external stakeholders (Department, government, providers, etc) to facilitate the coordination of logistics and communications relating to events.
Flexibility and relationship management are of particular importance and the successful candidate will be required to provide ongoing support and advice as well as collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in project and / or program management with demonstrated delivery of successful outcomes;
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, as well as being able to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Excellent organisation, written and verbal communication skills (experience in working for government desirable); and
  • Event coordination experience and ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage conflicting priorities and deliver high quality advice within very tight timelines; solutions focused; excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Project Officer - Governance

The primary purpose of the role is to contribute to key elements of the work of the Governance team and provide authoritative advice on all matters relating to governance.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in project and / or program management with demonstrated delivery of successful outcomes
  • Strong conceptual and analytic skills, as well as being able to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation, written and verbal communication skills and experience in working for government

Excellent ability to research, analyse, and provide advice on data and information quickly, and an ability to consider and provide advice on policy options
