Our leading banking client is seeking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager based in Sydney.

Duration - 12 months initial contract with possible extension

Lead all aspects of regulatory reporting for Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book to local regulators and providing leadership within the team across all aspects of the overall control and governance framework.


This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to use their experience in regulatory reporting to expand and develop their exposure in the treasury risk management space, while also driving and managing process and system change for the team.
Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day management, review and oversight of the reporting team, who are responsible for preparing regulatory reports/forms and other internal reports.
  • Participating in projects relating to APRA and Group reporting.
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as Risk, IT and overseas offices.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with current and evolving internal policies and procedures as well as legal and regulatory requirements, both in Australia and Internationally.
  • Identifying and resolving the issues identified during the course of the reporting process in accordance with the relevant standards and policies.
  • Proactive continuous improvement, driving and managing process and system change as well as regular updating of reports/forms with new products and reporting requirements.
  • Providing support and back up to other members of the regulatory reporting team.

To be successful in this role, where your passion and drive will be greatly appreciated, you will bring:

  • Experience in accounting, with direct experience in a regulatory reporting function including substantial exposure to liquidity regulatory (APRA) reporting within the financial services sector.
  • Experience with process and system change, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong technical skills including working knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in Australia (specifically APS210).
  • Strong ability to analyse business transactions and identify key risk and mitigating controls.
  • Able to work autonomously to tight deadlines with multiple deliverable.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to form effective relationships and develop influence with executive level stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to address queries professionally both with APRA and internal stakeholders.
