This government department is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to join their Digital Transformation Program. They require a Senior Test Analyst with an established background in testing, proven track record of building and working alongside others in different project teams, have strong technical ability, proven project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the planning and development, and undertake all facets of testing activities
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Define test strategies
- Develop and maintain all test related assets and artefacts including detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test cases and test summary reports.
- Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate new testing activities for features
- Undertake and complete integration, functional, user acceptance testing and regressions testing and associated activities such as defect logging, prioritisation and management.
- Develop and apply testing processes for products to meet customer needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and architects) to identify testing requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Track quality assurance metrics
To be successful in this role you will be assessed against your:
- Well-developed understanding of SDLC and test lifecycles
- Experience in software QA
- Proficient in testing frameworks
- Track record of creating test plans and writing test cases based on product requirements
- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
- Experience in working in an agile/scrum environment
- Experience working in government or large organisation
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification
