This State Government Department is looking for a Senior Test Analyst, to work within a team dedicated to delivering test outcomes aligned with agile ways of working in a complex and dynamic project environment. The role is responsible for developing and executing test activities in accordance with agreed test plans using proven industry test practices and innovation.
Deliverables
- Lead and manage the output of test execution activities with a view of meeting sprint goals and objectives
- Provide input to test summary reports and ensure test metrics reports are generated to communicate progress and outcomes during test planning and test execution
- Collate, track and manage the list of identified issues and defects, follow-up on fixes, and re-test fixes to these defects until resolution of all issues.
- Collaborate regularly with project stream leads and provide regular communications to enable a consistent understanding of testing processes, guidelines and tools.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and project team members to create partnerships essential to the success of the project
- Work closely with the DevOps lead to establish test automation practices with agile delivery teams that supports the programs principles of automation
- Ensure principles of left shift testing is applied and promote team ownership of quality with sufficient test coverage
- Support and participate in sprint planning, user story acceptance criteria, preparation and execution of system implementation and production transition.
- Support Test Lead and Delivery Lead with designated duties as they arise.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong experience working as a Senior Test Analyst on large programs and /or projects
- Execution of testing activities in accordance with specialised industry recognised principles and practices and techniques such as 'left shift testing', automation testing and manual testing.
- Working in agile project delivery environment and familiarisation with agile concepts
- Strong experience working with data and developing test cases for master data management
- Demonstrated experience in creating Agile artefacts, particularly providing input to user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong workshop facilitation experience
- Experience in Business Process Management (BPM) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is desirable.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of industry testing methods, techniques and practices used in the context of an agile project delivery model
- Strong knowledge of data and understanding of master data management concepts
- Strong knowledge of testing tools and technologies
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication, engagement and leadership skills
Evaluation Criteria
- Demonstrated experience working as a Senior Test Analyst within a large ICT program or project delivery environment aligned with agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, ScrumBan, SAFe)
- Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience of testing methods and techniques used in support of achieving defined sprint goals and program outcomes, specifically relating to test master data management test execution.
- Proven experience and up-to-date knowledge of new or emerging test management and automation technologies including Selenium, Katalon, Azure DevOps, Cucumber and ACCELQ.
