We are actively engaged with our State Government client in Melbourne who are looking for Solution Architect- Azure Business Intelligence Stack to commence a contract until 31st January 2022

What to expect:
The main purpose of this role is to
- Work with business stakeholders and solution analysts to understand the business and functional requirements
- Evaluate technology solution options based on the requirements
- Recommend technology platform and provide cost estimates and timeframe to deliver the suggested solution
- Design application architecture for the suggested solution, which includes defining the interaction between application packages, databases and middleware systems in terms of functional and non-functional coverage
- Provide ongoing technical support to the project during delivery phase The role also provides
- General advice and direction across multiple projects within Business Technology and Information Management
- General application architectural advice on industry trends, best practices and technical solution design and options analysis
- Ongoing support for technical support teams
About you:
- Extensive experience as an Architect in the Reporting, Data Analytics and BI domain, working for medium to large government or commercial organisations with software design patterns, development standards, and application frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in a wide range of reporting and Business Intelligence concepts and practices including Data Warehousing, Data Marts, ODS, Big Data, Data Analytics and Data Science.
- Demonstrated experience in a range of reporting technologies, in particular, Microsoft database tools, including Azure SQL, ADF, DataBricks, ADL, SSIS and SSAS.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more Business Intelligence or Dashboarding tools, e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense, SSRS and SAS Analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of reporting solutions of SaaS CRM or Service Management platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Siebel and ServiceNow.
- Proven ability to evaluate stakeholder requirements and develop and present solution options to senior management and various stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of ICT architecture best practice and current and emerging industry trends.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in network and infrastructure security principles (such as PKI/TLS, Single Sign-On and Federated Identity Management) applicable to solution designs.
- Demonstrated experience in lead delivery roles (eg. Solution design, data modelling) for a range of ETL and Business Intelligence solutions
