Team Leader - Early Morning Shift

We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our client who specialise in manufacturing human grade meals and treats on a subscription to dogs all over Australia. This is all produced in their state of the art industrial kitchen located in Wetherill Park.

Shift Times:

4am to 12pm

Duties:

  • Lead our production early morning shift, being responsible for equipment productivity and utilisation. Lead and assist the team in doing the work.
  • Manage and develop the shift team, and support all related activities
  • Manage the overall operational growth and development - working together with the management team to creatively come up with ideas and strategies to manage volume growth and implement those ideas
  • Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with production planning
  • Assist with product development
  • Maintain work area presentation, cleanliness and product integrity
  • Control stock of goods and consumables
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy workplace environment
  • Manage costs

Requirements:

  • Motivated, hard-working and career-driven
  • Proven leadership experience. Leadership from the front line and by example, personally supporting the team to perform the hardest tasks and overcome the biggest challenges
  • Experience leading a fast-paced environment. Preferentially, in a large scale kitchen, catering or meal prep business
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and/or other food safety standards
  • Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work extra hours when required
  • Ability to take on many different challenges head-on
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Record-keeping skills
  • Highly organised, managing several priorities in parallel without losing sight of any
