UX/ UI Designer (Ideal Candidate - Agency background)

Client - Banking Client
Duration - 12 month contract
Rate - $800/day - $850/day

A new opportunity with our global banking client based in Sydney -
You will be someone looking to design best in class, usable and accessible digital experiences for products, services and features that our internal and external customers will interact with on a regular basis. The Designer will collaborate with business stakeholders and translate requirements into low or high-fidelity visual designs and support cross-functional teams to bring them to market.

Role Details -

The role requires good degree of experience in UX and UI design using Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and Invision. The jobholder is expected to exhibit resilience in navigating complex global approval processes whilst remaining a customer advocate to ensure the integrity of design, content and user experience for the Australian market has not been compromised.

Key Activities -

  • Translating and applying Global Design Standards across all customer facing digital touch points
  • Advocating Human centred design, user testing and iterating wireframes and customer journeys based on quantitative and qualitative feedback to achieve the best possible outcome
  • Creating design wireframes and prototypes using Sketch and Invision
  • Collaborating with Service Designers and UX Content Producer to develop engaging and effective customer experiences
  • Sharing knowledge between projects on design standards and learnings on customer journeys
  • Day one: Supporting the Design Lead and project teams on existing flagship projects by building design variants for user scenarios uncovered in development
  • Running design showcases with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders

Skills

  • Over 5 years' experience in UX and UI Design, either in an in-house or consulting capacity
  • Demonstrable experience of transforming customer experiences through the application of design methodologies such as, Design Thinking, Customer Centred Design (CCD), Human-Centred Design (HCD), ideally within a financial or professional services context
  • A strong design-point-of-view and comfortable with challenging opinions and pushing design boundaries to update and improve design standards
  • Proven talent applying CX/UX tools, such as Customer Experience (CX) research, customer interviews, insight synthesis, persona creation, User Experience research, analysis, market comparisons, customer journey design, prototyping and design iteration
  • Comprehension of accessibility principles and applying them to web and mobile experiences
  • Familiarity with common design and delivery approaches, such as Agile, Lean, Sprint and common collaboration tools, such as Jira, Monday or Trello.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse and senior stakeholders, to influence and deliver enhanced customer outcomes
  • A strong focus on delivering outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Post-graduate or technical accreditation in design, engineering or innovation-related business programs highly regarded
