    Job tasks and responsibilities

    Accounting

      Cash management functions including overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliations.

    Internal Controls

      Reviewing and approving invoicesFollow up of aging debtors,Tax management and tax return preparationAudit preparation.

    Financial Reporting & Planning

      Provision of accurate and comprehensive financial information and reports to management.Preparation of financial stats, cash flow reports, budgets to actuals, financial projectionsWork with management to co-ordinate financial arrangements for business operations

    Financial Analysis

      Assist with risk assessment and managementAnalyse efficiencies of resources

    Your ownership and commitment to our core behaviours, including health and safety, teamwork, and leadership accountabilities will assist build and foster high level engagement and outcomes.


    Skills and experience

    We are very interested to hear from people who have experience working within civil construction, with capabilities to manage fluctuating priorities. You will have demonstrated financial control, including (but not limited to), financial reporting, month end, tax compliance, budget preparation and forecasting, preferably across a multi divisional business.

    To be successful in this role you will require the following:-

      Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA qualifications10 plus years relevant experience, (preferably gained from project based environment)Extensive ERP and excel skillsNegotiation skills and experienceStrong leadership and management skillsAbility to communicate at all levels - both verbally and writtenComprehensive time management and administrative abilities

    The ideal applicant will be currently studying their CA/CPA and have 2+ years' experience in a similar audit role, a good understanding of assurance/audit skills, IFRS/Australian Accounting Standards, Australian Auditing Standards and relevant legislation applicable to assurance engagements.

    You

      Will have a membership in CA or Equivalent.
      4-5 years' experience in professional external audit, established assurance/audit skills & an understanding of audit techniques

    Our client has recently acquired a business and requires assistance to manage the accounting function and integration of their systems. There a number of brands that fall under the main acquisition.

    This is an autonomous role reporting to the Senior Accountant but will work closely with the finance team including CFO, Senior Accountant, Accounts Officers, Reporting Analyst and Payroll.

    Are you ready to sink your teeth into a newly created role to decipher the underlying issues that may have been missed previously? Are you challenged by a challenge? This is a full cycle role that may take longer than 3 months to resolve.

    Provide full cycle accounting support, assist with the month end/year end closing, tax compliance to integrate two newly acquired entities as well as current business units.

    The Primary Purpose and Scope:

      Perform full cycle accounting function including but not limited to bank reconciliation, fixed assets maintenance, month end journals (prepayments, accruals, etc.), general ledger reconciliation, BAS (GST) submission and other tax compliance.Driving the process to integrate/create interface to convert day to day transactions/data from Travel log, Dormbook and Procharter to Pronto (ERP).Assisting to establish business rules to maintain the effectiveness of control and minimise the business risks.Assisting to implement GWT and CM in Pronto from MYOB.Providing ad hoc finance project supports assigned the by senior accountant.Contribute to the development of process improvement initiatives within scope of role.Display a high level of attention to detail with effective time management and organisation skills.Deliver a high standard of communication and customer service to customers and colleagues.Contribute as an active member of the Finance team to effectively progress new initiatives and drive an effective team culture within the department.

    Mandatory Competency and Experience:

      Tertiary qualifications in business/accounting disciplineMinimum 5 years' strong financial accountant experience in a medium to large organsation

    Here at Manpower we have a new and challenging position within the Accounting sector, our Perth team are currently shortlisting for a specialist PRRT Tax Advisor to join our Global leader in the Oil & Gas sector.
    You'll join an excellent international accounting team specialising in the implementation of tax recording and reporting related to one of the country's most prestigious resources projects. You'll report to the divisional manager and key stake holders across multiple touch points including internal tax works, JV partner businesses and the ATO.
    Being successful in this role will see you carrying out residual pricing methods, connected tax strategies, first lodgement of PRRT returns and management of internationally supported tax resources and reporting software.

    You will need to have:
    * CA or CPA accreditation
    * Solid Knowledge and Experience in PRRT
    * Excellent understanding of Oil & Gas related accounting and ATO interactions
    * Ability to lead by example including mentoring of assigned tax advisors
