An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable and experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join the team of trade qualified individuals. This permanent opportunity is a rare vacancy within a fast-paced organisation based on the Southside of Brisbane.
Duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
To service, maintain and repair company owned and contractors' plant and fleet vehicles in a timely manner to ensure the operating needs of the business are met.
Provide afterhours breakdown assistance across companies fleet and equipment.
Deliver and collect fleet and equipment to suppliers, manufacturers and clients.
Continually monitor the housekeeping of the workshop and take the necessary actions to ensure it remains clean, safe and tidy condition.
Assist and work coherently with the other work areas within the business unit.
Actively promote and maintain safe operational standards in the workplace.
Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner.
Complete work orders and part requisitions daily and in full.
Record, monitor stock and part levels and advise any discrepancies.
Maintain effective working relationships with team members.
To be considered for this role you must have hydraulic and electrical experience in a similar role working with heavy vehicle fleet. You must hold a relevant trade certificate in heavy transport or equivalent, a current Forklift licence, Drivers licence and HR Truck licence. You will be required to work 2.00pm - 10.30pm plus rostered on-call.
