    Service â Service Technician

    Vestas provides both sales and service of wind power plants. In the Service department, our focus is to provide our clients with high quality and best possible production of their wind power plants. With our long standing excellent track record and service experience globally, we work to ensure that we manage our clients' plants effectively to get the most out of each turbines while upholding to our commitment to safety standards

    Reporting to the Site Supervisor, we are looking for a qualified Electrical Trade (or similar equivalent) engaged in the installation, operation and maintenance of Wind Turbines Generators for Vestas. The technician will join our Service Team in Australia, conduct timely schedule maintenances, respond and troubleshoot turbine issues, and always, ensure and promote safe working practices

    Responsibilities:

      Perform the day to day servicing, calibrations and maintenance
      Actively involved in troubleshooting of problems that occur
      Ensure customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers and service recipientsDevelop and maintain site-specific documentation and quality assurance informationAchieve measure and report on performance indicators and site service objectives within a continuous improvement environmentCarry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks as per company policy and proceduresProactive focus on HSE including reporting and documenting of hazardous observations near misses and incidents

    Qualifications:

      2-3 years Experience in working in a Electrical Trade environment, preferably working with WTGs.Electrical tradeExperience in Maintenance of Electrical equipment in IndustryIntermediate computer skillsGood communication skills both verbal and writtenFlexibility in working hours (on call roster)Positive attitude and approach to day to day dutiesDemonstrated initiative to increase efficiency in operationsAbility to work at heightsDriverâs licence requiredA strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment

    SHORT TERM ASSIGNMENT - TO START ON THE 11/04/17


    Our client is based in Western Sydney with x3 locations in Blacktown, Llandilo and Penrith. They use the latest, state-of-the-art portable appliance testers to check on the integrity of the appliances and equipment by subjecting them to testing as required by Australian Standards.

    They are seeking an experienced Technician for an assignment to start on the 11/04/17 with start times staggering between 6am-7am on various days. The payrate on offer is $29.68.


    The days required are:

    Tuesday 11/04/17 to Thursday 13/04/17
    AND
    Tuesday 18/07/17 to Friday 21/04/17

    Duties will involve tagging between 250-300 items per day including kitchen appliances, home electrical products, portable equipment, computers and fixed equipment.


    What will you bring to the role?

    * Current Electrical Test & Tag Certificate
    * Prior experience in similar role
    * Drivers licence and own transport
    * High attention to detail
    * Willing to travel between the x3 sites
    * Able to commit to the work days required
