    Lead Reliability Engineer - Electrical

    The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Service Department to enable the safe, efficient and best practice operation and maintenance of Electrical Balance of Plant associated with Wind Farms within Australia and New Zealand.

    We are seeking candidates who have a strong mixture of operational field support and technical capability, who can also work on an autonomous capacity.


    Key Accountabilities

    Technical Sales Engineer
    Technical Account Management

    The Technical Sales Engineer role is a highly diversified role that requires solid technical skills as well as a strong commercial insight. You will be part of a dynamic global team selling and developing successful products and services for operating wind energy projects. The primary responsibility of this role will be supporting the Asia Pacific account managers, sales leads and customers in addressing technical questions and confirming possible variations for parts,repairs, upgrades and service contracts for non-Vestas wind turbines.

The services include service contracts for non-Vestas machines.     Responsibilities:

      Provide technical support to the service organization for sales of aftermarket products/offerings.Enhance the technical viability of aftermarket product sales agreements whilst optimizing performance & cost variables.Provide technical support in ensuring the most competitive technical solution is offered and accepted.Work collaboratively with the developers of aftermarket products to ensure market demands & requirements are accounted for in product design.Assess whether specific market and/or customer requirements should be addressed at a product design level.Provide technical subject matter expertise during negotiation and review of technical aspects in sales contracts.

    Qualifications:

      Masters degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience combined with commercial interest.Minimum of 5 years of experience in wind industry or sales engineering role. Experience in wind project operations is a plus.Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced/deadline oriented environmentAbility to manage and influence activities across multiple organizationsExcellent English oral and written communication skills. Other languages are a plus.Confidence talking with and presenting to external stakeholders (customers, banks, conferences)Eligible to work and travel internationally.
