    Project Assistant - Construction Division

    We are seeking for an experienced Project Assistant with leadership qualities to join our Construction Team in Australia, to support Project Managers to deliver specified Wind Farm projects on time and budget, through accurate and timely reporting and project administration.

    Responsibilities:

      Financial controlling and administration experience in complex project environment.
      Managed reporting function in major project environment.Worked within a project team environment.Experience in cross-cultural environments.Prepare payment claims and raise each claim according to the reported cashflow and in accordance with the contract requirements.Forecast cash inflows and outflows on a weekly basis with input from the Project Manager.Monitor the project budget to ensure all expenditures are within the allowance. In case of overspending, report to Project Manager then determine whether money needs to be requested from contingency to cover the shortfall or it can simply be covered using budget from other areas in the project.Forecast POC (conservatively) using the budget model with input from Project Manager and monitor on a monthly basis. Raise uncertainties as soon as foreseen.

    Electrical Engineer

    The Balance of Plant Engineering Department provides technical support to the Sales, Construction and Services organisation for electrical Balance of Plant (BoP), generator grid connection, and other technical aspects of key Sales projects within the Asia Pacific region.

    Responsibilities:

      Supporting the technical bid offers and negotiations to support securing wind farm project sales. Coordinate all technical sales support in the Asia Pacific region of influence ensuring an optimized while balanced risk managed contractual outcome.     We are specifically seeking canddiates with HV/LV Substation Design Review experience.

    Responsibilities:

      Review of drawing and document submissions from subcontractors against good practice, and safety, contractual, Vestasâ and interfacing requirements;
      Ensure electrical deliverables required to be submitted by Vestas are provided in a timely, safe and high quality manner;
      Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure electrical issues are resolved in a timely manner;
      Liaise with site based personnel to ensure subcontractors are delivering that is required;
      Undertake site inspections to ensure compliance;
      Assess Variations, Requests for Information (RFIs) and payment claims;
      Attend and provide input to various safety, design, technical and risk meetings, workshops and reviews;
      Review tender specifications.

    The purpose of the Area Service Manager is to proactively manage and support on site and external service activates across a number of selected Wind Farms'. This will involve achieving safety, revenue and profit targets, maximizing profitability in line with contractual obligations and implementing Vestas corporate strategies within the Wind Farm locations.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of Project Management, Field Service Management, Operational Management as well as proven experience in managing a sizeable P&L.

    Coming from an Engineering discipline would be highly advantageous; whether this would be within Construction, Telecommunications or Energy.

    The ability to work within a team environment is crucial as well as the energy and drive that is needed for this position.

    Responsibilities:

      Proactively manage the service team on various wind farms and provide support to maximize turbine uptime.
      Ensure HSE policy is effectively implemented and managed at each site.
      Ensure transition of projects from construction phase to Service Contracts.
      Fiscal responsibility to Vestas, i.e. budget expenditure, revenue, cost control.
      Proactively manage and report to the client, applying contractual obligations, and extending Service Contracts.
      Be active in the development of the business by ensuring system efficiency, setting progressive service policies and strategies and presenting to Steering Committee.
      Proactively develop self by undertaking technical and product training, and ensuring staff management capabilities are sufficient.
      Manage contractor and sub-contractor relationships and selection.
      Development and retention of Staff.
      Achieving Service and Project Excellence.
      Achieve Customer Satisfaction level of 75% plus.
      Assist and support back office functions.
