Warehouse Storeperson/Forklift Operator
Location: Auburn, NSW
Pay Rate: $34.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit Warehouse Storeperson/Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including heavy lifting and operating a counterbalance forklift, to ensure smooth and timely dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products.
- Warehouse Management: Assist with receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Heavy Lifting: Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick and pack orders to meet customer requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory control procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve warehouse operational goals and maintain a clean workspace.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Forklift Certification: Valid high reach forklift operator certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
