Our client is a leading, international production company, who provide complete end-to-end television production services, including: outside broadcast, studio production, centralised production, systems integration, host broadcast support, and production services

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be working closely with the Financial Accountant & Finance Manager. This is perfect for someone who has basic experience in Finance or is looking to exit public practice and enter the Commercial space at the Assistant Accountant level.

Statement of Duties:

  • Ensure integrity of trial balance by completing monthly GL reconciliations for review by Finance Manager
  • Assist in the statutory audit as requested by the Finance Manager
  • Review customer and supplier reconciliations prepared by Accounts Officer and provide recommended action for exceptions
  • Post all recurring and standing monthly journals
  • Prepare bank reconciliations weekly
  • Liaise with managers to obtain sufficient explanations or department P&L variances
  • Assist where required by the Finance Team or the Leadership Group
  • Update Tech1 for invoices raised in R2 by Project Managers
  • Supervision of Accounts Payable staff to ensure creditors are paid on a timely basis and within terms



Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Completing CPA or CA or willingness to start
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.

  • To perform or action any reasonable duty or add or vary such tasks as may be deemed necessary by the Management or those deemed to act on his/ her behalf
