ManpowerGroup is actively engaged with a Federal Government department that is now looking to on-board a talented Finance Officer / Assistant Accountant who will be a key contributor to the shared services division.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend for an additional 1 year.
About the role:
- Prepare month end reports
- Manage general ledger preparation and posting
- Take ownership of asset management, including disposals and stock take
- Assist with accounts receivable and payable queries
- Assist with budget and forecast preparation
- Liaise with external partners to ensure all financial documentation is received in a timely manner
- Create new reports on an ad-hoc basis, including performance based reports
About you:
- You have exceptional attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- You can work with a level of autonomy and independence, and can confidently make decisions that are based on professional judgement and in the context of a complex and changing environment.
- You take a proactive approach to managing activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- You are part CPA/CA qualified with experience in a large shared service function
