Job description

We are seeking Food delivery Drivers to join our client's team.

The Food Delivery Workers provide a high-quality, customer-focused meal delivery service to support clients of the City's Meals on Wheels program. The role enables clients to continue living independently in their own homes and communities by ensuring meals are packed, handled, and delivered safely, efficiently, and with compassion.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional and sensitive customer service to clients from diverse backgrounds, acting as the first point of contact for information regarding meal orders, delivery needs, special dietary requirements, and follow-up requests.
  • Pack meals accurately in line with individual dietary requirements, food safety standards, and service procedures.
  • Perform regular stock counts of meals and other goods to maintain adequate supply levels.
  • Complete meal deliveries in accordance with agreed delivery routes, client instructions, and Safe Work Procedures.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records in line with the City's Motor Vehicle Policy and Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all WHS, food safety, public health, and operational policies, including completing all required administrative and record-keeping duties.
  • Clean and maintain the Meals on Wheels workspace, including delivery vehicles, equipment, and the general Distribution Centre environment.
  • Document and report delivery performance, service issues, and operational feedback to supervisors to support continuous improvement of the Meals on Wheels service.



Requirements:

  • Current driver's license
  • Time management skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Current First Aide Certificate
