Forklift Operator - Packaging & Warehouse
About the Role
We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators to join our packaging and warehouse team in Huntingwood. This role is based in a high-volume FMCG environment, handling bulk food and beverage materials, including heavy palletised loads up to one tonne. Operators will be responsible for forklift operation as well as general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, RF scanning, and manual handling.
Key Details:
Pay Rate: $35 per hour + Super
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm, Ongoing
Start Date: 5th January
POLICE CHECK REQUIRED PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and materials-handling equipment to move heavy palletised loads, including one-tonne pallets of liquids and raw materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are handled carefully to prevent spills, damage, or cross-contamination.
- Transport palletised alcohol and beverage products between storage, production, and dispatch areas.
- Stack, store, and organise pallets in line with warehouse layout and inventory processes.
- Perform RF scanning for accurate picking and packing of units and cases.
- Support stock control through inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Assist with general warehouse and production activities, including manual handling.
- Report equipment or machinery issues promptly to the Line Leader.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in line with FMCG and WHS standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current forklift licence with at least 5 years of demonstrated operating experience.
- Previous experience in FMCG, warehousing, logistics, or production environments is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety requirements, particularly when moving heavy or liquid-filled pallets.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle heavy items as required.
- Must be comfortable working with alcohol and beverage products.
- Police check required prior to commencement.
About the Team:
You will report directly to the Line Leader and work within a small, coordinated team of up to four operators per line. Ongoing support, guidance, and training will be provided to ensure safe and efficient operations.
