The Opportunity

Working among an experienced HSE team, this Advisory role is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-risk environment. With a client base across a number of high risk industries, you will be part of a national team of experienced Advisors with what can be a high paced and challenging set of stakeholders.

This role requires strong skillset in building strong relationships with the operational frontlines and having the ability to be pragmatic and flexible in delivery of solutions. You will be coaching and influencing leaders and workers across the business to ensure a healthy and safe workplace.

It has long hours of operation, which on occasion will mean an early start or a late finish - for pre-starts, toolbox or similar. You will have both a fair amount of autonomy and (much) variety in working with your Gladstone-based sites and contribute to a national team of Health & Safety professionals.

To be successful you must bring:

  • Experience in a relevant HSE Advisor role. Applicants from a blue collar, high risk environments will be highly regarded
  • Experience working in a multi-site role and competing priorities
  • Effective communication, able to communicate at all levels of the organisation
  • A flexible and tenacious approach to stakeholders and the requirements of the role
  • Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety

Critical to success will be your capacity to demonstrate agility, leadership and stakeholder management skills in a high risk business profile.
