About the role:

The Instrumentation Technician role promises an exciting and diverse workload. New challenges and different locations ensure that no day is the same. You will use your finely tuned mechanical/electrical skills to service, repair, and commission a variety of decanter centrifuges, high-speed separators and PLCs. This role is perfect if you're looking to take the next step in your career, working independently with customers to make sure their equipment is up and running quickly and efficiently. This role requires travelling locally and nationally to clients' mine sites.

Key responsibilities:

  • Servicing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of decanter centrifuge & high-speed separators
  • Reading & interpreting engineering drawings, manuals, exploded diagrams & P&ID drawings
  • Compiling of technical service reports.
  • Working to a high level of Health and Safety - Compiling & working to JSEA's. SWMS, permit to work, Take 5 etc
  • Implementing and driving field and lab testing with decanter centrifuge.
  • A combination of regional & interstate work with paid overtime and weekend/public holiday work.

Key selection requirements:

  • An engineering degree: Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation, ect
  • Electrical trouble shooting skills
  • Experience in the mining sector
  • Hold an Industry white card
  • A full Australian driving license
  • Have strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Have strong digital skills - Word, Excel, Lotus Notes.
