Job description
Location: Port Lincoln
About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with a variety of tasks in both customer service and warehouse operations, including picking and packing orders, receipting goods, preparing orders for pickup or delivery, and providing exceptional service to our customers. If you have a strong background in automotive or truck parts, or experience in direct customer service, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to customers, assisting with product inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience at the parts store.
- Warehouse Duties: Assist with general warehouse tasks, including picking and packing truck parts, receipting goods, and organising stock efficiently.
- Order Preparation: Prepare and package parts for pickup and delivery, ensuring all orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stock Management: Maintain an organised warehouse and ensure parts are properly stored, shelved, and inventoried.
- Product Knowledge: Use your knowledge of automotive and truck parts to assist customers and ensure that they receive the correct products for their needs.
- Team Support: Work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in Automotive or Truck Parts: Knowledge of truck or automotive parts is highly advantageous, allowing you to better assist customers and perform warehouse duties efficiently.
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role is essential to provide excellent service.
- Warehouse Experience: Experience in warehouse work, including picking, packing, and receipting goods, is beneficial but not essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and inventory management.
- Forklift Ticket: This is highly desired.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry truck parts (up to 30kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from your supervisor.
Working Hours:
- Roster: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Duration: This position is available for up to 4 weeks, with the potential for extension based on business needs.
