Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Policy, Human Services, Arts or a relevant discipline.
  • Previous practical experience in research, policy development, community engagement, and/or project management.
  • Current Drivers Licence and COVID Vaccinations

Selection criteria

1. Prior practical experience in high level and comprehensive reports, reviews or strategies relating to a service based organisation with a customer centric service model to produce excellence in policy and strategy development.

2. Proven ability to build, lead, mentor and manage a high performing team, along with relevant budget and resources.

3. Extensive and well-established senior level experience in a complex and challenging environment, catering to multiple stakeholders.

4. Prior proven experience in effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building at a senior level in regard to government agencies, industry, professional associations, business groups and the wider community, with a strong focus on political influencing.

5. Prior practical experience in undertaking or leading advocacy activities.

6. Demonstrated high level negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Skills and competencies

7. Highly developed research, analysis, organisational, engagement and report-writing skills, in order to prepare authoritative recommendations and advice.

8. Demonstrated ability to identify key issues, barriers, and opportunities, and their strategic and policy implications.

9. Well-developed interpersonal skills, including proven ability to translate high level policy advice into innovative, practical and politically astute strategies for implementation.

10. Strong ability to plan and manage strategic and operationally complex projects in a dynamic environment.
