Our client is a dynamic and responsive business unit which is looking for a Marketing and Events Officer over a 3-6 month contract (possible ongoing role) who is organised, adaptable, creative, and has sound judgement.

They support the divisions marketing, communications, programs and events activities, including providing administrative support for the Marketing Coordinator and the Programs and Events Coordinator.

The main duties and responsibilities are as followed:

  • Provide critical administrative support for site marketing and communications including: Social media, Website, Graphic design, and Distribution of promotional information.
  • Provide critical support for programs and event management including: Administrative activities such as preparation, scheduling, and monitoring of online program/event information and bookings and on site event coordination, Liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to community engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide excellent, pro-active customer service internally and externally.
  • Other duties as directed.


To be successful, you must have the following skills:

  • High level computer skills including standard Office suite, and the ability to learn Adobe Creative Cloud, and the library's event system
  • Sound judgement and decision making
  • Content curation and copywriting
  • Highly developed administrative and organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and responsiveness
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills and team work
  • Demonstrated experience with social media, website content management, and graphic design
  • Demonstrated understanding of event planning and implementation


Qualifications and requirements for the role:

  • Qualifications in Graphic Design, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Communications, or Event Management
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Work evening and weekend shifts when required
