About the Role:
We are actively working with a group of expert advisors in Migration and Internal Education. They are currently looking to expand their team with a qualified and motivated Migration Agent to join their dynamic team in Melbourne.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Migration Agent.
- Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice.
- Successful completion of the Capstone Assessment.
- Current registration with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).
- In-depth understanding of visa categories, migration legislation, and Department of Home Affairs procedures.
- Strong knowledge of skills assessment processes across various professions and industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on suitable visa options and assess eligibility based on their unique personal and professional circumstances.
- Prepare, organise, and submit complete visa applications in accordance with Department of Home Affairs requirements.
- Manage ongoing communication with the Department of Home Affairs, including responding to requests, monitoring application statuses, and providing timely updates to clients.
- Assist clients in visa appeal or review processes before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), including the preparation of arguments and supporting documents.
- Support senior migration agents with research, casework, and the development of process improvements.
- Maintain current knowledge of Australian migration laws, policy updates, and procedural changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date advice.
- Liaise with education providers, employers, and other relevant third parties to obtain necessary documents and support the visa application process.
