Job description
We are partnering with an exciting company who is seeking a payment field operation executive with some experience in the payments space, enjoy being on the ground, building relationships, and making things happen. This role is based in Sydney
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the adoption of the organisations solutions, including payment acceptance, brand exposures, in Australia. They will manage day-to-day interactions with local merchant partners and drive account success. The role involves extensive interactions with various local businesses and payment partners in the market and while a close working relationship with internal teams Nationally and Internationally
General Responsibilities include:
- Relationship Development & Management.
- Ensure merchants within the assigned area are properly set up for payment acceptance, including QR codes, POS devices, and terminals.
- Conduct regular checks in key business districts and industry segments to improve payment success rates and usage frequency.
- Collect and report issues faced by merchants in payment acceptance, and coordinate with technical or operations teams for resolution.
- Provide merchants with basic training on payment processes to improve proficiency and engagement.
- Assist the BD team in supporting Alipay+ projects with local merchant and key account partners management such as payment acceptance, campaign activation, on-going operational support.
Requirements
- Diploma or above, any major. Experience (min 3-5 years) in payments, FMCG, or O2O industries is a plus.
- Proficient in English and Chinese speaking in daily work; excellent cross-cultural communication skills
- Familiar with offline merchant ecosystems and basic understanding of payment industry (acquiring, QR payments, aggregation, etc.).
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with merchants and partners.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify issues and opportunities from transaction performance.
- Willingness to work in the field with strong execution capability and sense of responsibility.
