Production Operator / Forklift Operator - Ongoing Role with Permanent Opportunity
Location: Thornton, NSW (Outer Newcastle Area)
Rate: $34.29 per hour + OT + Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm (overtime and Saturday work available)
Employment Type: Casual to Permanent (permanent opportunity within the first 2 months for the right person)

About the Role:
This role involves a mix of production labour (50%) and forklift operation (50%), working in the manufacturing of steel-reinforced concrete products.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily pre-start checks on machinery and equipment

Move pipes, reinforcement cages, and materials using a forklift
-
Open and clean moulds, remove finished products, and prepare for the next production cycle

Inspect product quality and perform finishing tasks such as patching and labelling

Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas
-
Assist with general maintenance and other duties as needed

Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards
What You'll Need:
-
Current Forklift Licence
-
Previous experience in manufacturing, civil, or construction industries preferred

Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality

Reliable transport to get to and from site

Physically fit and capable of manual labour

Full PPE required: Long sleeve high-vis shirt and pants with reflective tape
Desirable (but not essential):

EWP and/or Confined Space tickets

Previous experience in concrete or pipe production
