Job description
Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Hallam, 3803
Employment Type: Casual ongoing - Temp to perm opportunities
Shift: 4:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Are you a motivated and safety-conscious operator with a strong background in chemical manufacturing? We're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a key member of our production team, you will help ensure daily production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where safety, responsibility, and continuous improvement are central to our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate production plant equipment safely and efficiently
Unload and load shipments (road tankers, ISOs, flexibladder, FCL, LCL)
Conduct laboratory testing of manufactured products
Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment
Clean and relabel IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers)
Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (EHSQ) procedures
Report hazards and incidents promptly
Accurately pick orders using batch numbers
Support team and supervisor with additional tasks as required
Adapt to shift changes when necessary
Qualifications & Experience
Current forklift licence (mandatory) with 2-3 years of operational experience
Experience as a production operator in the chemical industry
Familiarity with SAP is highly regarded
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skills & Competencies
Solid understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures
Strong communication and reporting skills in English
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Proactive, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
Able to work independently and within a team
Motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic
Willingness to challenge the status quo and support continuous improvement
