Prepare vehicles/components/ for paint repairs, and maintain equipment to a professional standard in order to achieve a high quality finished product, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
The role of a painter includes removing rough spots on vehicle panels by sanding surfaces using hand or power tools.
Carry out masking procedures, colour matching and mixing paints. Apply primer and finishing coats and then apply polishes and waxes to the finished paint work. Other tasks may include paint rectification, touch-up work and generally preparing the vehicle for customer use.
You will be required to comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and wear all required safety equipment.
