A brand-new recreation centre located in Alexandria-just one street away from Perry Park-is scheduled to open soon! In preparation, our client is expanding its agency casual pool of Recreation Officers to support the new facility, as well as increased activity levels at Perry Park in the coming months.

This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting growth phase, contribute to community wellbeing, and gain experience across multiple recreation facilities.

Working in liaison with the local manager, you will support daily operations and program delivery by:

• Planning, implementing and evaluating recreational programs that promote social inclusion, connection and wellbeing
• Delivering high-quality customer service to clients, contractors and key stakeholders
• Responding positively to community needs and expectations
• Undertaking a range of operational and administrative duties to ensure the safe and effective running of recreation facilities and programs

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in the planning and delivery of recreational programs or events, such as sporting competitions
• Availability to work across multiple locations within the Local Government area
• Ability to work on a 7-day roster, including regular weekends and evening shifts
• A current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain
• A current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
• A reliable, proactive and customer-focused approach
