// The Role & Requirements

This lynchpin role of Safety Systems Manager has a wonderful opportunity to reinvigorate the current Safety Systems, continuing to support the Safety journey of the broader employee base. Some of the interesting projects upcoming delivered by this role offer the organisation a re-mapped Safety Management system allowing this role to drive the specific directions and steps of the Health and safety journey.

This role provides a really interesting opportunity to ensure strong coverage of the entire workforce through a review and re-design (in part) of the foundational building blocks of the safety Management System (SMS) that all members of the Health and Safety team rely on and contribute to. Over time, you will also review and re-work any necessary changes in the assurance program, and also critical risk within the broader team.

// The Person

Safety Management System: this person has the capability and demonstrated experience in understanding obligations in a large organisation and enjoy the re-designing process and execution.

It would be difficult to be the successful applicant without having completed a similar review somewhere else. Of importance is bringing together disparate pieces of information for upgrade, review, and re-design where necessary.

Written Competence: a demonstrated ability in being able to understand compliance and legislation requirements, feeding into a re-work and re-shaping of the SMS, and partnering with internal stakeholders to execute a re-work. Sometimes that will be direct written work, sometimes oversight.

Technical bent: others who know your work understand that you thrive in situations where your technical skills (both technology, but also a leaning toward system and process) are upheld by solid communications (written and verbal). You are able to understand, interpret and analyse data and reporting, making recommendations and decisions.

Passion to make a Difference: you will likely be someone who thrives when there is a difference to be made, where things aren't yet humming, and where your good work will make a genuine impact to those across the workforce and contractors.

Qualified: You will need a relevant qualification (Diploma minimum).
