Data Centre Field Technician - Multiple Roles Available
We are looking for an experienced infrastructure technician to join the team in Sydney for a long term contract. This is a field technician role which involves travelling to various sites in Sydney.
- Contract: 6 months with possible extension
- Location: Sydney
- Pay Rate - $40-45/hour +super
- Start date: Asap
Role Duties:
Infrastructure -
- Responsible for datacenter infrastructure build out which includes but is not limited to building racks, installing rack mount equipment, and cabling.
- Responsible for management of datacenter cabling to standards. Including projects that improve the datacenter aesthetics.
About you:
- Has a valid driver's license and own vehicle to use for travel
- The engineer will need to have experience installing network cables, installing servers, experience in handling wires and electricals including replacing faulty hard drives and other physical parts.
- Activities undertaken will include datacentre troubleshooting, server admin, cable trouble shooting general installation.
- Engineers will receive technical instructions and manuals from the client
- Must have worked within a datacenter environment
