Our client is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services across a range of industries - including rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence. They are currently seeking an experienced trade assistant to start asap!
If you enjoy hands-on work, supporting skilled tradespeople, and contributing to high-quality outputs, this role offers a great opportunity to build your experience in a heavy industrial environment.

About the Role
In this position, you will play a key part in day-to-day maintenance and workshop operations, including:
- Assisting tradespeople as directed to ensure efficient workflow
- Operating hand tools safely and effectively
- Supporting maintenance and overhaul activities across various components
- General labouring duties as required
- Cleaning armature and stator cores for rewind
- Actively participating in Lean practices and continuous improvement
- Maintaining a strong commitment to safety at all times
About You
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Minimum 3 months' experience on a maintenance or industrial site
- EWP ticket preferred, but not essential
- Dogman ticket is highly desirable
- C Class Driver's Licence
- Proven ability to perform duties to high standards of safety and quality
- Experience supporting trades in a heavy industry environment
- Strong measuring skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
- A solid safety mindset and excellent communication skills
