We are actively engaged with our large Federal Government client in Canberra who are looking for APS6 Level Senior Communications Officer to commence a initial 12 months contract with 2 x 12 month extensions.

What to expect:

The Senior Communications Officer will support the development and execution of end to end marketing and communication programs.

  • Assist in developing communications plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Support the execution of communication programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Identify customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for campaign optimisation
  • Working in partnership with the creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Provide content and updates for customer and internal touch points, establishing budget guidelines, participating in events and documenting business processes
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform programs of work
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimise accordingly

About you:

  • Experience in developing materials for programs that are of a high standard and are consistent with a customer focused culture and align with brand strategy, guidelines and processes.
  • Experience in delivery of a program of work within the account service model within agreed timeframe, budget and governance
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Sound understanding of marketing communication activities and delivery
  • Strong communication skills
  • Relationship management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Good project management skills
