Location: Laverton North, VIC Pay: $47 per hour + super Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Start: Immediate | Ongoing, long-term role | Christmas break from Dec 19 - Jan 4

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join a busy workshop in Laverton North. This is a hands-on role working on heavy equipment components, with a strong focus on boom refurbishment and crack testing. You'll be part of a supportive team environment but expected to work independently with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks on heavy equipment components

• Conduct crack testing and structural integrity assessments

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications

• Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and efficiently

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a welder, ideally in heavy equipment or structural repair

• Strong expertise in boom refurbishment and crack testing techniques

• Solid knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick)

• Commitment to safety and quality standards
