Full Job Description:
Our client delivers high-quality infrastructure to improve the lives of people in Australia. Their 9,000 strong team works in every kind of weather, creating, connecting, and caring for communities.
They are looking for a Bitumen Spray Operator to join their McGraths Hill team, to start asap.
This role is suited to an experienced candidate with a keen attitude, willingness to learn and a desire to further develop a career in the industry.
Your main function will be to spray a layer of hot bitumen onto the surface of the road before laying down the asphalt. The bitumen sprayer is designed to distribute the bitumen evenly over the surface, ensuring that the asphalt adheres properly and forms a strong, durable surface.

Requirements:

• Hold a current HR or HC Licence
• Hold a current Dangerous Goods Licence
• Have relevant industry cards, e.g. Construction Induction Card
• A positive attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Possess a strong commitment to safety
• Someone who enjoys an outdoor working environment
• Have previous experience in the industry/experience as a bitumen sprayer operator
• Are available for weekends, or to live and travel away from home as required.
