Job description

We are currently working with a is expanding FinTech company whos footprint is in the Oceania region, and we are looking for a proactive, customer-focused Business Manager to join the Sydney team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong commercial partnerships, and understands the digital payments ecosystem.


What You'll Do

1. Business Operations

  • Work closely with the Business Development team to strengthen relationships with merchants and partners across Oceania.
  • Support Key Account (KA) merchants or institutions with on boarding, materials, and activation activities.
  • Conduct occasional partner visits to deliver tailored training, support marketing campaigns, and introduce products.

2. Market Research & Insights

  • Store Inspections: Visit offline merchants to assess material placement and payment environment.
  • Market Intelligence: Collect and analyse industry updates, online research, reports, and field data to understand payment trends and competitive dynamics.
  • User Research: Conduct user penetration surveys and gather feedback through on-site interviews or online questionnaires.

3. Material Deployment

  • Support and arrange on‑site distribution of branding and activation materials in areas not easily covered by institutions.

4. Business Communication

  • Assist in communicating product updates, business opportunities, and feature changes to partners such as merchants, banks, fintechs, government agencies, and corporate clients.

5. Collaboration Exploration

  • Identify and develop partnerships with university groups, commercial precincts, and community organisations.
  • Drive localised marketing campaigns, monitor user behaviour, and explore ecosystem-based collaboration opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Core Requirements

  • Outstanding communication skills, with an enthusiastic and outgoing personality.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese is essential.
  • Strong project management capability, with the ability to produce high-quality analysis and summary reports.
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with the FinTech Payment ecosystem and an understanding of the payments industry.
  • Experience in operations, merchant management, channel partnerships, or similar roles is strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience, ideally within:
    • Digital payments
    • Digital marketing agencies
    • Retail
    • Tourism
    • Food & Beverage (F&B)
