About the Role

We're seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior/Assistant Lender to join our partners lending team in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a financial or banking background who is eager to launch their career in lending. You'll work closely with senior lenders and credit professionals, gaining hands‑on experience in loan processing, customer support, credit assessment, and financial analysis.

This role offers strong development pathways, ongoing training, and exposure to a broad range of lending products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing loan applications across various lending products.
  • Conduct initial financial assessments, including income verification, document collection, and preliminary credit checks.
  • Support Senior Lenders with portfolio management and customer relationship activities.
  • Communicate with clients to gather required documentation and provide updates on application progress.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, lending guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry within lending systems.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for credit assessment and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (credit, compliance, operations) to ensure smooth end-to-end lending processes.
  • Adhoc administrative duties included

Skills & Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong proven communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of organisation with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Basic understanding of lending principles or credit processes (advantageous but not essential).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial systems.
