The Company
An Australian owned and run construction business for more than 60 years, this company has gone from strength to strength, working across the Australia and Pacific Regions. This successful business has grown from a small family company to more than 500 strong across Australia. Due to their continued growth, they have a need for an Accounts Officer to join their Brisbane team, based in Moorooka.

The Role
As the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for all things accounts. You will be a team player and confident to work autonomously when needed. You will have experience in all things accounts and will be familiar with EOM procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-

  • Full end-to-end AP/AR
  • Creating, processing, paying, and filing invoices
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Matching purchase orders
  • Reconciliations including bank and cash
  • Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions
  • Reconciling the GL and assisting with EOM
  • Ad hoc financial tasks as directed

About You
As the Accounts Officer you will have experience in full end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable. You will be confident and capable in all things accounts, including EOM procedures. As the Accounts Officer you will be a resourceful team player, able to communicate well with people of all backgrounds, and show initiative.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Cert IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting
  • Minimum 2+years in a similar role
  • Experience with end-to-end AP/AR
  • Experience with Oracle based ERPs or similar
  • Strong communication skills
  • High-level attention to detail
