We are on the lookout for a reliable and hard-working Local Delivery Driver to join our busy team in Hobart. If you enjoy early mornings, staying active, and working with a close-knit crew, this could be the role for you.

This is more than just driving, you'll be hands-on with the freight. Your day starts early with sorting and unloading freight from trailers and conveyor belts, inspecting packages for damage or discrepancies, and ensuring all freight is correctly labelled and ready to go. You'll also be responsible for manual deliveries across the local area, so a valid Class C driver's licence and a strong sense of responsibility are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make timely and safe deliveries to local customers

• Load and unload goods (may involve some lifting)

• Maintain delivery logs and vehicle condition reports

• Provide excellent customer service with every drop-off

• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license (Class C)

• Clean driving record

• Good knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Strong communication and customer service skills

The role includes hand deliveries, so you'll need to be physically fit and able to lift and move packages safely. We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Reliability is a must our mornings are fast-paced, and every team member counts.
