The Company

This large and highly regarded company specialises in originating and managing proprietary investment opportunities designed to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns by leveraging their team's experience and regional networks across a specific industry sector. They work in close collaboration with their investors to develop tailor made investment strategies and seamlessly execute the investment mandates with a strong focus on long term sustainable returns. They understand the fundamental drivers, market trends, different cultures and practices of the value chain segments and geographies they invest in, making them a formidable force in their chosen market.

Due to busy period, they are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their Brisbane-based Finance Team on a 6 week basis.

The Role
As the Financial Accountant you will work closely with the corporate Finance Team. You will report to the CFO and assist with month-end.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-

  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Bank and payment reconciliations
  • Prepayments and Accruals
  • EOM procedures including GL reconciliation and Journal Posting
  • P/L reports and cash flow forecasting
  • maintenance of asset registers
  • Assisting with budgets
  • Ad hoc finance tasks

About You
As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for EOM activities and reports. You will be experienced, organised, and a team player. As the Financial Accountant you will be confident in all aspects of EOM and able to work autonomously. You will have experience with P/L reports, cash flow forecasting, and maintaining asset registers.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years experience with full EOM
  • Hold a relevant Bachelor's Degree
  • Pursuing CA/CPA preferred
  • Experience with MYOB
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 an advantage
