The Company

We are currently working with one of the most reputable mining organisations in Australia who are a continually growing market leader. They have been dominating the industry, providing a high-quality service for their valued customers. The Company is known for their innovation and continuous improvement. They have continued to grow without sacrificing quality of service and products.

Currently experiencing substantial growth,this complex business is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their Brisbane team on a 12 month contract.

The Role

As the Financial Analyst you will work closely with the Finance Team and Operational Stakeholders. You will help drive the business forward, providing valuable insights into the company's Financials. You will be responsible for creating and delivering reports to internal and external stakeholders, outlining the financials of various projects and strategies.

Duties will include but not be limited to:-

  • Financial and operational forecasting, analysis and scenario modelling
  • Running financial models for various parts of the business
  • Sourcing data and undertaking analysis for business improvement opportunities
  • Creating and maintaining appropriate tools and materials for commercial analysis
  • Preparation and distribution of relevant business performance information to relevant stakeholders by the required deadlines
  • Developing and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Conceptualising, developing and presenting information to various stakeholders in easily digestible ways

About You

As the Financial Analyst, you will work strategically as part of the Finance Team, and work closely with operations. You will be experienced in Financial Analysis and Modelling, and have presented reports and findings to stakeholders. As the Financial Analyst you will have a strong financial background, and be skilled at working with a team to deadline. You will be systems savvy, and know how to present data in an engaging easy to understand way o larger parts of the business.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in finance
  • CA/CPA Qualified
  • Previous experience as a Financial Analyst
  • Extensive experience in Financial Modelling
  • Advanced MS Office skills, with a high degree of capability in MS Excel.
  • Experience with large analytical systems like Power BI, SAP, Salesforce, and Tableau
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and presenting reports
